This Thursday February 25th 2010 Ronald Rip have been invited to the HIT Magazine Red Carpet event, HIT Magazine Miami is an important publication dedicated to bring information about events, concerts, media and entertainment focused in a young audience. This event will gather some of the most acclaimed artists, musicians and entertainers that influence the scene in Miami.

There are some influential companies that will participate in this event which is the case of Revolver Media. Revolver Media is a boutique-style multimedia production firm focused on creating cutting-edge content for TV, Film and Internet. Founded by artist Eddie Blazquez in 2006. Revolver will be the company in charge of creating Rip’s next video within the next couple of months…

As we all know…Haiti is confronting a very difficult situation after the earthquake that caused a massive destruction and killed more than 200,000 people and an estimated of 300,000 people were injured and an estimated of  1,000,000 are homeless.

Many countries responded to appeals for humanitarian aid, pledging funds and dispatching rescue and medical teams, engineers and support personnel. Communication systems, air, land, and sea transport facilities, hospitals, and electrical networks had been damaged by the earthquake, which hampered rescue and aid efforts; confusion over who was in charge, air traffic congestion, and problems with prioritization of flights further complicated early relief work.

25 years ago producer Quincy Jones gathered with some of the more talented artists by the time and created the song “We Are The World” to help Africa.

Recorded on February 1st, 2010, in the same studio as the original 25 years earlier (Henson Recording Studios, formerly A&M Recording Studios) “We Are The World 25 For Haiti”, in which Jones and Richie serve as executive producers and producers, was created in collaboration with executive producers Wyclef Jean, Randy Phillips and Peter Tortorici; producers Humberto Gattica and RedOne; and co-producers Rickey Minor, Mervyn Warren and Patti Austin to benefit the Haitian earthquake relief efforts and the rebuilding of Haiti.

Together we can make the difference…please donate whatever you can, anything helps!

Hello Friends!

I am really happy to announce that I just started rehearsals with my band for new shows we are gonna play throughout  South Florida, I am very lucky to count with great musicians that are going to perform with me on the shows…With more than 20 years experience We will have Mr. Luis Gomez on the lead guitar; with his incredible talent and  unique playing that amazed me all the time! On the drums it is a privilege to share the stage with Mr. Gerardo Ubieda, he has been touring extensively with the band SOLARES from Venezuela, and he posses an amazing talent…On the bass guitar a young folk but so talented that I call him the “prodigy”, his bass playing is so precise and intuitive that can take any music to a different level, Of course I’m talking about Gonzalo Gallarza. We will have special guests for the keyboards as well as for the guitars and we will start playing in the greater Miami area, We will be announcing venues last week of January….

On the set we will include material from PREMIERE and some of the new songs I’m in the process of recording, Including “She Runs Against The Clock” “Imaginary Jenn” and “The View” mixed up with a couple of covers and acoustic version of ( Put the name of the song here)

We will tour with a special guest band I’m going to announce very soon…I am thrilled to say that we will kick off this tour here in South Florida and we will definitely play in some cities on the east coast in spring…the time is now, music is waiting to be heard and I feel really excited about this new performances… please keep up with me, you are my greatest inspiration…

Imagination unveils thoughts of colors and shapes, how do we paint our present and future? how can we feel alive if we don’t imagine a better world?…we still believe in the age of the innocence because there’s always something bigger than us…that immense force that give us that connection beyond understanding…the ice is melting and the sun is coming up for more…and more, asking more of our consciousness…I’m diving in my celebration of my own mind and the expansion of a new world…

There’s is this kid looking for attention, and waiting for the sun to shine on his face…he had a melody on his head and he is composing a piece of art combining sounds and patterns inside his body, and he wonders, How can I diffuse the structure of my thinking on a clear way so people can dive into my consciousness?

I need to celebrate my commitment for you…

Knowing Ronald for a couple of years now has progressively given me a broader understanding of him, primarily, as a human being. Dedication, constancy, self-improvement, are terms, among others that come to mind, describing his passion for life, and ultimately for music. I proudly manifest my involvement in Ronald’s development as a musician since his most recent, and successful musical journey. In fact, I’d dare to say that we began ideating and combining our musical ideas one night at his pad. Later that same year we decided to walk on different directions—musically. Nevertheless, that’s another story…

When I first opened my ears to—still-in-the-cradle—Ronald’s music, I quickly noticed how those terms I mentioned before reflected so fitly on his work. Transitioning from his then band Single Dot to the more robust musical and artistic structure he presents today, Ronald unknowingly—yet conscious in his deep mind, surpassed “that” even he might have ambitioned just a few months before: this “baby” has matured to become his work of art as he ambitioned it.

Sometimes I feel that I need certain material things to feel complete and I guess that happens to all of us … I think we should try to liberate our mind from that belief and embrace the fact that we are breathing and being alive and to know that finding our true purpose is a responsibility that we carry in our lives…

When I am in this process of creation and writing songs I feel totally connected to the “source” (GOD) and it gives me the sensation of freedom from this fantasy…. Then I feel some kind of instant peace… Now and then I practice an exercise to clear my mind and think that some of the best things in life are for free… right?

My gift for you is writing music and connect through this beautiful art…

Since the “awakening” of our concern about climate changing on earth I’ve been really focused in how to help people to understand this problem. I want to share something personal here and it’s the fact that my awareness has changed radically regarding this matter, it is like I’m leaving a dream or a nightmare or a tale…it is so weird that I really don’t know how to express it in words. But I can frankly tell you that is a sensation of practically having two lives, one life before knowing this and another one after…

My level of awareness is so strong that I literally think about this everyday!

So I decided to take action and spread the word about global warming and the destruction we are generating with our bad habits towards the nature.

I begun  to research and find ways to help humanity in the process of “saving the earth”. We all know the consequences of this bad habits and the damage we could cause to the environment in the near future…

I invite you to read and research about this problem we are facing and to help creating a better future for generations to come, I invite you to get involved with this useful website I found and many others you could find to get informed and act in a way we can all raise our level of consciousness and give some love to our planet!

I’m very happy to announce that my 4th single “She Runs Against The Clock” is almost done. I’ve been working in the studio for the last couple of months recording and getting this song in shape for it’s release…

After the situation I faced with the vandalism I confronted about a month ago it has been a little tough to work in other studios but mine. The essence of the melody and songwriting is like a light that shines suddenly when you don’t expect it would happen, even when I’m sleeping I got to wake up quick to write and record the melody or idea  I have in my head…it is like water on hands, it vanish seconds after you have the strike of the idea.

Working in different studios have opened my mind to different angles for the song and what started as a pure 4×4 simple and straight rhythm pattern, it has become much more than that…I’ve been working with my producer Gonzalo Teran developing new textures within sounds and using a variety of amps on the guitars to differentiate the tones between them.

This song is about a reality we don’t want to see and sooner or later you will have to accept this idea…of course I leave your imagination to work and to interpret for yourself what you want to see in the song, it is a process of swimming on the ocean of “She Runs Against The Clock’

Very excited and happy to share this with you and you can expect the release of this 4th single the second week of September, I’ll keep you posted with more information as we go along with the mixing and mastering for the song…
